Squeak

My Squeak decided that her heated cathouse was too warm to sleep in last night, but she didn't know that we unplugged the heating element yesterday afternoon.  Now it's just a safe cool place to sleep in.

Here she is sleeping on the front porch swing, oblivious to the world around her.  She knows she is safe here, but I'm sure she'll move to another location when the sun gets too hot for her here.  She has several safe hidden places to sleep in her yard.  Squeak is the only cat that I have ever had that has NEVER left the boundaries of her yard.

 

general blabbling

 It's 5:30 p.m. and I think I should get dressed.  I've spent the whole day on here and on my cell phone.  Rick said something about wanting to go for a ride after we eat supper, but I'm not sure if my aching back wants to ride in a car yet.

I rested all last week, icing my back just so that we could go grocery shopping yesterday.  I took Aleve and we went to Walmart.  I like Richmond's Walmart because I know where everything is in there.  When we stop at Berea's Walmart I can't find anything.

Since Rick is a diabetic it takes us 2-3 hours to shop.  We read every label to make sure it doesn't have any kind of sugar, and fructose or corn syrup or anything that he can't have.  It takes a while to shop but he's doing great.  His blood sugar remains normal and he has lost weight.  I eat all the bad stuff unless I go over to Delores, Ray & Suzanne's.  They eat right.  They fix meals from scratch and I even lost 5 pounds eating good there.  I've been home since I fell in Suzanne's driveway nursing my back and eating junk food and I've gained that 5 pounds back.  I eat less at home, and I eat a lot at Delores' , go figure.

They say if your body thinks you are starving it, it will hold onto fat and bad stuff and if you eat a lot on a regular basis your body will know that it is getting a next meal and won't store fat up, but poop it out.  Well, that is true.

Bella and Benny are having car training today.  Bella growled at a passing gentleman, so she flunked her training for today.  Bella is the white puppy, and Benny is the sweet one.  Just kidding, they are both sweet.

But, what I want to know is, where is that sweetest and cutest of all, that ever faithful Bo?  

 

Here he is to the left and he even voted.  How patriotic and faithful is that!  

He's faithfully gone on scary kayak rides, hiking trails with big rocks and cliffs, been a passenger on even scarier Razor rides, mountain and street bike rides.......You name it and he's been there with Sharon all the way......And now just because he's nine years old he's being replaced by these two puppies Bella and Benny.  He gets left at home by his favorite human while those pups get car ride training and lots of other things too, maybe like treats and stuff, and maybe new toys.
